Escaping the Grind - Enough With the Excuses!
Why It's Time to Take Control of Your Career and Well-being
Hey Thrivers! 👋
It’s Sunday, how many of you have the Sunday Scaries right now? If you feel anxious, dreading the week ahead, then you have the scaries. Maybe this is why —
Let's talk about the all-too-familiar scenario: You're hustling at a full-time job, only to come home and dive into your passion project, desperately hoping it'll be your ticket out of the daily grind. It's a journey I know well – the struggle, the fatigue, and the constant yearning for a way out.
The exit door is closer than you think. IT IS! I know you might be already rolling your eyes and calling BS on what I’m saying here, but keep reading.
Complaining about feeling stuck
is just an excuse, and I'm here to remind you that making a move is within your power. Your energy is a precious resource, and spending it on complaints won't get you anywhere. I bet you’ve told this to someone younger than you, haven’t you? Well, practice what you preach!
Platforms like Indeed and LinkedIn are not just websites; they are lifelines to new opportunities. If you're yearning for change, explore these avenues actively. You have the capability to find work elsewhere, saving both your health and sanity.
Sure, we all need money to live, but guess what? We also need our sanity to pay the bills and build our dreams. It's a delicate balance, and it's okay to prioritize your well-being.
🚀 Introducing All Thrive Collective Collection: Programs for Women on the Rise
I've been where you are, and that's why I've created mentoring groups tailored for the busy woman hustling to build her business or bring a passion project to life. When I say I’ve been where you are, I mean I was born into poverty, I worked two-three jobs throughout college, and didn’t marry into money. I’ve had to work damn hard.
The All Thrive Collective Collection are programs I’ve created for my All Thrive Community. It’s what I’ve learned through the hustle to where I’m at right now. In 2018 I began my migration out of the mainstream classroom to admin work to non-profit work and to consulting and now I’m done with all that because I am right where I feel my best.
Your best has a lot to do with your self-efficacy.
Self-efficacy is your belief about how you execute a task and inside of that lives confidence and motivation. If you’re feeling stuck or stale, do an inventory of how you’re feeling about your life situation. Because, as we know your job isn’t your life, so when you do the inventory, ask yourself what’s enough and what’s lacking? It’s worth mentioning that folks with low self-efficacy believe they can’t do hard stuff and focus a lot on failure and negativity. Albert Bandura, a largely cited psychologist did a lot of research on self-efficacy, so check him out to read more.
My programs are designed with YOU in mind – self-study options for flexibility and one-to-one mentoring for personalized guidance. The best part? My programs are not free, but they are freaking good because I know they will help teach you strategy and real world things you can use right now. If this person is you, I look forward to hearing from you soon.
